Lumedia Musicworks Wins Award in Best Shorts Film Competition

DALLAS, TX – Lumedia Musicworks has won a prestigious Award of Recognition for Public Service Programming, Film Shorts, and Music Video from The Best Shorts Film Competition. The award was given for The Last Haw, a silent western, which was created to accompany Le Vertigo, an 18th century french harpsichord piece written by Pancrace Royer, performed by harpsichordist Molly Hammond. The Last Haw features exceptional black and white videography by Cameron Covello, directed by Derrick Robert Brown. The Last Haw is an example of how Lumedia fulfills its mission to bring early music to life, and reach a wider audience through unexplored mediums.

“This award takes that effort to a global audience and expands our organization’s reach in a new way,” said Brown.
