Lumedia Musicworks will debut its silent short film “The Last Haw” online at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 2. It includes the early music ensemble performing French composer Joseph-Nicolas-Pancrace Royer’s famous “Le Vertigo.” The performance is offered at no charge, but donations are welcome.
The story created for “The Last Haw” was inspired by and set to the music “Le Vertigo,” a harpsichord piece written in 1746. The silent western concept was the brainchild of Emanski and directed by Derrick Robert Brown of Dallas in the historic White Elephant Saloon in Fort Worth. Lumedia’s musicians recorded the music used in the ensemble’s short films.
