Lumedia Musicworks offers the story of Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz online through Jan. 6

The short film stars a Rowlett resident and is directed by a Lewisville resident.

Lumedia Musicworks recently debuted a short comedic documentary film and performance online about Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz. The event is the latest installment of Stories, a celebration of women composers in early classical music.

De la Cruz (1648-95) was a Mexican nun, writer, poet and composer during the Baroque period. She’s known as the Phoenix of Mexico.
